Our Story

Justin has spent 35 years in the recovery community — not behind a desk, but alongside people, in the moments that mattered most.

His path into this work wasn't academic first. It was lived. Three decades spent in volunteer and community-based peer support taught him what most textbooks can't: how to build trust with someone who has every reason not to trust easily, how to sit with a person in crisis without flinching, and how to hold space for relapse without treating it as failure.

He's seen what surviving looks like, up close, more times than he can count. He's also seen what becomes possible on the other side of it — and that's the work he's committed to now.

That ground-level experience is now backed by a Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs, alongside a current Blue Card, and CPR/First Aid Certification — formal qualifications layered over decades of real, lived experience.

Justin’s Approach

People who've withdrawn from formal support systems often find it easiest to open up with Justin first. There's no script, no clipboard between you. Just someone who has walked enough of this road himself to know that recovery isn't linear, and that judgment has never helped anyone heal.

Getting by was never the goal. Justin's approach is recovery-oriented and trauma-informed at every step — practical where it's needed, patient where it's needed, and always building toward something more than just managing. Toward a life worth showing up for.

That belief is anchored in respect: for your dignity, your pace, and your right to choose your own path forward.
